Hi lovelies, today I have an outfit of the night post from last Tuesday when my housemates and I went out for 2-for-1 cocktails and then into town. It was a really fun evening, the first night out we've had since coming back to uni for the new term, and before we went out Jo and I took some outfit photos (taken inside of course as it was about 10pm.) These look a little awkward which I apologise for, we never normally take photos inside and I didn't quite know what to do with myself..!
Top - ASOS
Skirt - Missguided
Tights - Next
Shoes - New Look
I'm really glad I got this skirt - I know a red velvet skirt has been seen ten to the dozen on Lookbook but I've wanted something red velvet forever and this is perfect for day or night. I really want the green one too as the shape is perfect, it hangs so nicely! The top I am less sure about - it's uncomfortably short, and I think it would be much more flattering with just an extra inch of fabric on the bottom so it finishes at my waist rather halfway down my ribs. It would probably be fine for those with a smaller bust, but otherwise I'd recommend the short sleeved version rather than this, as I have both and the short sleeved one is a much better length. I finished the outfit, as per usual, with a liberal dosing of studded and spiked jewellery, my favourite new cross that I got from the Miss Selfridge sale, and these sexy T-bar spiked shoes from New Look (I am in love with them!) It is silly really how I feel self conscious about an inch of skin on show on my torso, and yet most girls out that night were in much skimpier clothing - regardless, I'm still not certain about this top. Find this on Lookbook here.
I also wanted to thank everyone as the response I've had so far for my first giveaway was far more than I expected, I just wish I had more than one prize as I'd love to be able to say thank you to everyone - I'll keep that in mind for next time! How is your week going so far?
