Hi lovelies, how was your weekend? I had a really great time visiting home- the train ride was strange, looking out the window watching the snow gradually thicken until I got off the train and everything was covered, it looked really quite magical. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get any snowy outfit pictures as it was quite a busy stay and much of it was spent looking after my mum who was struck down with a similar sickness bug to the one I only recently fought off, however I have got these outfit pictures from last week before I went home.
Choker - Twirly Trinkets
Denim shirt - Topshop (old)
Camisole - Topshop
Velvet shorts - Topshop
Velvet DMs - Surfdome
I realise that I'm more or less in head-to-toe Topshop here: it's fair to say that they contribute to a significant percentage of my wardrobe, but I must stress that I am quite shopping savvy and buy most items either in the sale or when Topshop are offering 20% student discount because it makes the prices a lot more student-friendly. The shorts I bought in the Christmas sale, they are so comfortable! The shirt was a purchase from last year, and a real wardrobe staple for me - I love it thrown over girlier outfits. The Dr Martens are from Surfdome - they're sold out in purple velvet now but they have a cherry red version that I am in love with. The top is actually from Topshop's nightwear range, but I've not worn it as pyjama top yet because I think the print is too pretty to waste. I actually got a black version in the sale for little over £5, they are really nice, thin cotton and a nice shape to wear either tucked into something high waisted, or loose in the summer when the weather gets really warm. Topshop's lingerie section is often full of gems that can be worn everyday, it's definitely worth a look. Find this on Lookbook here...
Do you like this outfit? Would you be happy to wear items from a nightwear or lingerie section as day to day wear?
