Your lips say that you love, your eyes say that you hate.

Hi lovelies, today I have another outfit post to share with you. These photos were taken on Mother's Day when we went to visit my nan. Unfortunately I can't say I was feeling fantastic when these photos were taken as we'd had a rather horrendous long drive that left me feeling quite ill (having two howling dogs in the car didn't help either!) but I asked my dad to snap some pictures regardless, so excuse the slightly mardy face. Despite it being really cold, it was also very bright and I appear to be squinting slightly, so I do apologise! Man, I do know how to sell these posts, don't I? ;)

Top: Next
Necklace: Topshop
Skirt: Topshop
Boots: New Look (similar here)

I got this skirt in the Topshop sale a while ago, and I really like it with this feather necklace - it's one I've had for years that I don't often have a chance to wear as the brown and gold doesn't go with a lot that I own. With this skirt, however, it's perfect. I'd planned on wearing the skirt with a cream lace top from Topshop, but when trying them together the sepia tone of the skirt looked strange against the brightness of the top, so I threw on this simple black ex-work top instead. It's actually really unflattering in the photos, more than I'd realised, and it clings to every line so I probably won't be wearing it again!

A candid shot of yours truly, but the girls are looking gorgeous here! Find this outfit on Lookbook here...

How has your week been so far? Can you believe our easter break starts this Friday? I can't deny I'm counting down with baited breath...

  1. Yay for the Easter break - not that I have a break from much. Well, Guides and Rangers I guess so I will have some free evenings to catch up on just about everything else. Liking the skirt ;)

    1. Oh, I'm jealous, I really wanted the bustier for this set! However I didn't snap it up quickly enough when it went into the sale so I missed out :( I do love this skirt but it's very full so I can understand it's not everyone's cuo of tea - I wasn't 100% sure on it at first but I'm really glad I kept it. Your easter is the 'normal' time I think, for some reason ours is *really* early - I know lots of people that don't break up until the 29th! xxx
